Competitors were treated to plenty of swiss sunshine and a variety of snow conditions during the 2020 Verbier Freeride week. The week consists of four events, three of which are adult competitions and one a junior comp. Each event had around 90 riders competing in it. Competitors must navigate their way down a mountain face having only looked at it from photos and a face inspection on the morning of the event. They are judged on five categories, Difficulty of line, Fluidity, Control, Jumps and Technique.

A large percentage of the content we deliver has to be edited in real time as it needs to be posted across FWT media channels on the day of the event.

Moveu media has had the contract to produce all creative video content for the event for the past few years. In that time we’ve built up a great relationship with both the FWQ and FWT.

A large percentage of the content we deliver has to be edited in real time as it needs to be posted across FWT media channels on the day of the event. This can be a demanding task for a small team of editors and videographers.

To insure a top quality and dynamic production our teams is made up of a variety of cameraman including fully licensed drone pilots and professional videographers.

We also ask competitors to send us GoPro/ POV footage on the day of the event when possible so we can add it to some of the videos such as the Best Action and Best of.

All though this year conditions weren’t the best. The FWQ did a great job in finding faces which were safe and had some good snow on them. New faces were used this year which made for some exciting new camera angles and drone footage.

We work closely with the photographer to make sure we avoid being in their shots or the competitors way if we are shooting from on the face.
